Taking care of a healthy baby can already be a challenge, but when your baby is teething, it can feel
downright impossible. Teething can be traumatic and without an adequate way to express this, you are
often left with an inconsolable little one. To help both you and your baby manage this difficult time, we
have compiled a list of our favorite ways to ease the pain!
1.) The Classic Teether
An oldie, but a goodie! Try freezing a few teething rings and hold in baby’s mouth to ensure it is
hitting the sore gums. Have a few on hand and keep rotating them so one is always cold and
ready to go! If you do not have teething rings, try freezing a few nuks instead.
2.) Mesh Nuk
Try using a mesh nuk and placing frozen cubes of food inside of it. If your baby has not yet
started solid food, you can use frozen milk instead. This will keep baby’s gums numb and add an
element of entertainment!

3.) Your Favorite Sweatshirt
Grab your favorite shirt from your closet and give it to your baby! The scent from the shirt will
instantly calm her and she will be able to chew on it for added relief!
4.) The Standbys
While it’s good to try alternatives, sometimes your baby may need medication to ease the pain.
If you decide to go this route, give him Orajel and Tylenol at the same time. The Orajel will
provide immediate relief, and by the time it wears off, the Tylenol will have become effective!
